Childhood Predictors of Adult Intimate Partner Violence

Overview

This manuscript, a collaboration with the Centre for Drug Use, Additive and Anti-social Behaviour Research (CEDAAR; School of Psychology, Deakin University) updates a previous review on the predictors of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). It distinguishes between risk factors for IPV perpetration and victimisation, highlighting childhood and adolescent predictors. The review identifies key factors like family risks, behavioural problems, and cultural attitudes, emphasising their importance in IPV prevention and intervention strategies.
